This whole crazy journey started while I was watching a music video with the Himalayas in it. This sparked something crazy in me. Instead of sitting there behind a screen, I wanted to be there in person. The idea to trek to the Everest Base camp was now born.

Author Biography

Guru Karnati MBBS, DMRD, DNB, FRCR, Musgrove Park Hospital, UK

Consultant Radiologist specialising in Cross-sectional and Musculoskeletal Imaging and sports injuries. He is the lead of Musculoskeletal Imaging at the Musgrove Park Hospital. He is a member of the Royal College of Radiologists, European congress of Radiology, and the Indian Radiology and Imaging Association. He reports a wide range of Body Imaging, Musculoskeletal CT and MRI examinations and performs ultrasound scans. He is vastly experienced in a wide range of musculoskeletal procedures, especially imaging-guided injections, root blocks, nerve ablations. He is also the Honorary Senior Lecturer, University of Bristol, and Executive Member of the British Association of Physicians of Indian Origin (BAPIO). He is a keen teacher and is involved in a number of international teaching projects, particularly in India and Zanzibar. He is also the director of the BTA (BAPIO Training Academy).
